About Us
With 40 years of experience, Doug Tedder started Doug Tedder Heating & Air Conditioning in 1983. In its early years, the company offered galvanized gutter installation, flashing, custom sheet metal work and residential HVAC. As the heating and air side of the business grew, gutters and flashing were eliminated from the scope of work so that Doug could focus on providing Murfreesboro’s most comprehensive HVAC services. In December of 2002, Doug’s son Jay partnered with his dad to form The Tedder Company.
In 2005, The Tedder Company began offering a unique comprehensive home evaluation that provided customers with an in-depth look into their home’s health and efficiency. Later dubbed the Tedder Home Health Exam, the test gauges everything from air circulation and moisture levels, to identifying leaky air ducts and inefficiencies in the home’s construction that are potentially costing homeowners thousands of dollars a year in lost inefficiencies and environmental illnesses.
In 2008, Tedder will begin offering home energy ratings through a special program with EnergyStar®. This valuable service is just another way that The Tedder Company provides premium services that will help middle Tennesseans live in healthier, more energy-efficient homes.
